Defend the Republic Rally at Capitol in Denver Colorado

There is a Defend the Republic Rally sponsored by Friends of Dan Maes (his campaign) Saturday, 12/12/09, on the west steps of the Capitol in Denver starting at 1 pm.

Mike Holler of The Constitution Made Easy fame is the keynote speaker.

I am strongly urging our groups & members to support this rally not as an endorsement of Maes, but as a condemnation of those who are trying to truncate the primary process and leave us no choice.

Lu Busse, the 912 Leadership Chair will speak and kick off the new 912 initiative — Principles Over Party. Lu will clearly state that the 9.12 Project is not endorsing Maes.

We are there to support a real primary process and choices for all voters.

GOP leaders are telling Maes he doesn’t have a chance and the grassroots aren’t large enough to give him a victory. Let’s show them how many of us do support keeping him in the race to prevent them from circumventing the process and our voice by limiting our choices in the primary.
